Euphoria Patches: Add Them Last
Euphoria Patches add extra options after Unbound or Reimagined already runs. They are an add-on, not a replacement pack.
Install the base Complementary ZIP first, verify FPS, then add patches and turn new toggles on slowly.
Safe install order
- Install Iris or OptiFine and confirm a clean launch.
- Install Complementary Unbound or Reimagined and test a world on Medium or Potato.
- Download Euphoria Patches from the patches download page.
- Match patch and Complementary version lines before enabling anything experimental.
- Enable new effects in small batches while watching FPS and compile time.
Compatibility and version matching
Treat Euphoria Patches as an extension layer. Random old patches on a new Complementary ZIP commonly break skies, water, or shader compile.
When Complementary updates, re-check patch notes the same day. If the pair is untested, keep patches off until you finish the safe update pass on the base pack alone.
How to remove patches cleanly
- Disable or remove the patch package from shaderpacks.
- Relaunch with only the Complementary Unbound or Reimagined ZIP selected.
- Reset to a named profile (Medium or Potato) if custom toggles were patch-specific.
- If the world still fails, redownload a fresh base ZIP from the download page and see troubleshooting.
Compatibility mindset
Match patch eras to your Complementary line when possible. Mixed generations cause pink skies and compile failures more often than “bad Minecraft installs.”
Download the add-on from Euphoria Patches downloads only after Unbound or Reimagined already runs cleanly.
